Hello!
I’ve split this week’s forecast into two parts. This is the usual Sneak Peek at the Week. The next email you will get are my expectations for Election Day.
Highlights for the week:
Sun trines Saturn on Monday
Mercury enters its shadow period on Thursday
First Quarter Moon on Saturday
Venus squares Neptune on Saturday
That's it. Remarkably smooth, especially in the beginning of the week, though it may get a bit wiggy towards the weekend. Compare them to the volatile patterns of the November 2022 midterms. Next week we will have greater volatility, if you ask me.
It goes like this:
MONDAY: Sobriety and an easy flow between the Sun (willpower, leaders) and Saturn (authority, necessary controls) at 12:36 PM ET may harness the otherwise fiery, boundary-pushing drive of the Sagittarius Moon. I confess I didn't consider this trine when I wrote last week's forecast (from Cape Cod!), but appreciate in hindsight why the weekend wasn't as overtly and unfortunately macho and explosive as a Mars-Pluto opposition (exact on Sunday) usually suggests. Unless we consider Donald J. Trump performing pantomimed fellatio on his microphone and describing a vision of Liz Cheney facing a firing squad at a rally on the New Moon in Scorpio, as historian Heather Cox Richardson reports. In the same vein, but with the upside potential of Sunday's generous-to-a-fault opposition between the "fortunate" planets Venus and Jupiter, we had "World's largest GPS penis traced across Bannau Brycheiniog for charity," because of course it was. Another fun reflection was SNL's spoof political advertisement for Harvey Epstein, who -- I learned today -- is an actual candidate running for the councilman in NYC! Note that Harvey Weinstein and Jeffrey Epstein's horoscopes continue to be hot, which is why they are making headlines. And of course Harvey Epstein's horoscope has Venus at the verrrrry end of Capricorn, currently activated by last week's Mars-Pluto opposition! Astrology is amazing.
MONDAY: As the day progresses, sobriety could segue into exuberance, as Moon opposes Jupiter at 3:32 PM ET. More good cheer follows, as Moon meets up with Venus at 6:50 PM ET, possibly accompanied by an expostulation of something unexpectedly frank and perhaps fantasy-driven. (FYI, it's now 6:44 PM ET, as I've just added that bit about Harvey Epstein).
TUESDAY: Note your dreams upon waking, as Moon's square to Neptune at 5:23 AM ET may open channels of inspiration. On the other hand, Moon-Neptune may be confusing, especially since it is followed by a five-hour Moon void. You know the Moon void drill: roll with the twists and flakes that may disrupt efforts to move forward in a straight line. Don't make a mountain out of a molehill, as crises that crop up during voids are usually much ado about nothing.
TUESDAY ELECTION DAY PSA!!!! Since one twist or flake may distract you if you're going to the polls to vote before 10 AM ET, PLEASE check your voter registration status before heading out the door -- and PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE go to the correct polling site. In New York, for example, you won't be given a scan-able ballot if you are at the wrong polling place. If you insist on a completing a provisional ballot, it will be set aside in a separate pile, but your vote won't count! Why? Because there are local races happening, too -- not just the federal one between Harris and that OMG (Old Miserable Guy). Many well-intended people are saying that you should insist on a provisional ballot if you are at the wrong polling site, but you can't vote for a city councilperson who doesn't represent your election district, right? The best way to make sure your vote counts is to vote at your correct polling place, and if that's where you are and they still won't give you a ballot, then absolutely, positively demand a provisional one. Clear? Thank you! FYI, some states allow you to register and vote on Election Day -- New York is not one of them, but if yours is, and you're not registered yet, go to the polls and VOTE!
TUESDAY: Right before Moon enters Capricorn at 10:17 AM ET, Moon arrives at the top of the horoscope for the 1973 Roe v. Wade decision, activating all of the angles of that chart. To me, this is a favorable sign. Moon travels without interference for the rest of the day, needing to Make Things Happen for the sake of administering progress, thus achieving the goal. There's a cooperative flow between that drive and the energy of willpower and authority, and this continues into...
WEDNESDAY...when the Capricorn Moon sextiles Saturn and the Sun at 10:16 AM ET and 2:11 PM ET...and continues on its achievement-oriented way.
THURSDAY: Mercury is at 6 degrees of Sagittarius, marking the beginning of what astrologers call the "shadow period" of the upcoming Mercury retrograde at 22 Sagittarius on November 28th. Information that comes in between now and 28th is subject to review and revision, with a focal point happening on December 15th, when Mercury will turn direct. Then we will be in Mercury's second shadow period until January 2nd, when Mercury will be back at 22 Sagittarius and start to cover new territory.
THURSDAY: Moon trines Uranus at 10 AM ET, facilitating innovative technology, networking and other alliances, some of which may be unconventional. It is helpful to bear in mind that Uranus is still hanging out next to Algol, the Fixed Star associated with the Medusa (a powerful woman who could turn men to stone), and losing one's head, figuratively and literally. Watch the headlines. Dreamy or inspired achievement may be in the zeitgeist around 1:12 PM ET, as Moon sextiles Neptune, with building intensity that peaks in the form of a power play at 5:37 PM ET, when, for the last time ever in our lifetimes, Moon will meet up with Pluto in Capricorn, sign of the Establishment. After a 20-minute void no one will notice, Moon enters Aquarius, ready to hang with its besties, celebrating the unique social significance of each and every one of them in the group. Tempers may flare dramatically as Moon opposes Mars, which entered dramatic flair Leo on Sunday, November 3rd. Be mindful in traffic. The Moon-Mars opposition happens at 8:15 PM ET.
FRIDAY: Moon continues in Aquarius, and the only aspect is a sextile (cooperative flow) with Mercury, exact at 7:51 AM ET. Tension builds in the evening, clarified by the First Quarter Moon at 12:55 AM ET on...
SATURDAY. The Aquarius Moon's intellectual approach is at odds with the Scorpio Sun, which would rather act than talk -- or fight than quit. Hmm. At 5:13 AM ET a potentially grand (or grandiose) effort ensues, as Moon trines Jupiter. Humming in the background for the past few days is a square between Venus (women, money, values, art, worth) and Neptune, which idealizes and/or dissolves whatever it touches. As I wrote about a Venus-Neptune square in May 2020, it may reflect...
a need for people to see what they want to see; ergo, any conspiracy theory that crops up under these patterns should be taken with a hefty grain of salt — or disregarded entirely. Other stories reflected the simply magical, charismatic or surreal. Music — another Neptune keyword — may also be big.
Here are headlines from that May 2020 Venus-Neptune square. Watch what's being reported about the results of the Nov. 5 election and compare. A surprise revelation or other upset arrives around 3:17 PM ET, as Moon squares rebel Uranus -- and note the potentially divine source from whence it comes. I say this because Venus will be at 27 Sagittarius -- a.k.a. the Galactic Center. The Galactic Center is a “supermassive black hole” around which everything in our galaxy revolves. The black hole seems to be a source of massive radio waves, so if one had a planet or point around 27 Sagittarius, Virgo, Gemini, and Pisces, that planet/point might be exceptionally tuned in to messages from Central Command. That’s the theory, in any case. Neptune is now at 27 Pisces -- squaring the GC — watch the headlines for messages from the beyond. Off the top of my head, Prince William has a 27 Sagittarius Ascendant, as does my dear friend Peri Lyons, a brilliant intuitive (should you ever need an excellent psychic).
SATURDAY: Moon sextiles Venus at 7:23 PM ET and then goes void for the next three and a half hours. Chill! When Moon enters Pisces at 10:59 PM ET, it will be within 2 degrees of Kamala Harris's 2 Pisces Midheaven. Perhaps her professional status will be illuminated -- and note that Joe Biden's Ascendant is 3 Sagittarius, as is JD Vance's 3 Sagittarius South Node. A Pisces Moon needs to work with impressions and ideals, and it travels without interference, possibly into a big snowball of empathy until 5:19 PM ET on...
SUNDAY...when it squares Mercury, which is close to the 12 Sagittarius Ascendant of the United States (the Sibly chart). News of note, perhaps -- and with respect to women, values, money, and aesthetics, it may be especially prominent, as Venus will now be at the verrrrry end of Sagittarius, at the top of the Roe v. Wade chart, and connecting with a whole bunch of people often written about in this forecast, including Liz Cheney, Rudy Giuliani, Alexei Navalny, etc. etc. At 8:39 PM ET, Moon meets up with Saturn, which is beginning to slooooooooooow down to a virtual standstill as it prepares to turn direct next week, on the November 15th Full Moon in Taurus. Expect matters of authority, ambition, cuts and losses to pull focus over the next couple of weeks -- and note that Saturn is hovering soooooo close -- but not quite -- to an exact square the 12 Sagittarius Ascendant of the United States. Whatever was hot in news for the U.S. around March 21st may be back.
Wowwwwwwwwww and whew!
Closing with a few headlines and fun videos.
First, a New Moon is a fine time for clandestine activity, and last week's New Moon was in Scorpio. How apt for these two commercials letting women and men who may be feeling pressured by spouses and peers that who you vote for is your little secret. Julia Roberts voiced one ad; George Clooney did the other.
Second, Malcolm Nance's Substack essay entitled, "Kneel. Pray. Win. We Have Orders from General George Washington" was an apt reflection of last Monday's Mars (soldier) - Neptune (faith) trine and Venus (women) - Saturn (grief) square. It was written after a visit to his deceased wife's grave.
Third, reflecting yesterday's extreme effort (Mars opposing Pluto) and expansion involving women (Venus opposing Jupiter), note that pro-EU leader Maia Sandu won a second term in Moldova, "despite Russian meddling."
Fourth, here is Beth Owl’s Daughter’s always-in-sync Tarot Card of the Week.
Finally, Randy Rainbow released a new song parody -- rewriting Olivia Newton-John's Xanadu. Newton-John's horoscope has Jupiter sitting right on the Midheaven, opposing her natal Jupiter -- and it's all connected to Randy Rainbow's horoscope because astrology is amazing.

Elizabeth, maybe you weren’t so far off about Mars Pluto over the weekend after all. This all happened on Saturday. https://www.justice.gov/opa/pr/man-arrested-and-charged-attempting-use-weapon-mass-destruction-and-destroy-energy-facility . Seems like it was a very near thing.
